What's New for 2025?

The Nissan Murano is a brand new edition of the popular mid-size SUV and has received a bevy of updates and a striking new exterior look. Drivers may notice the Murano now features a turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine rather than the V-6 engine offered in previous model years. The 2025 update also includes a switch from a continuously variable automatic transmission to a nine-speed automatic transmission. 

Real World Performance

The 2025 Nissan Murano delivers 241 horsepower with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that's standard on all three trim levels. All Murano trims also feature a nine-speed automatic transmission with standard front-wheel drive on the base trim and standard all-wheel drive on the upper two trims. Drivers who opt for the base trim may also upgrade their Murano with optional all-wheel drive. Every trim level features a wealth of standard equipment, with the top-level trim offering upgrades like machine-painted wheels with accents, a Bose premium sound system with 10 speakers, and an optional dash cam.

Drivers will find a cargo volume of approximately 33 cubic feet in the rear of the vehicle with space increasing to 65 cubic feet with the seats folded down. The Murano offers drivers an estimated efficiency of 21 miles per gallon in the city and 27 on the highway. This SUV makes up to 260 lb.-ft of torque and is capable of towing up to 1,500 pounds, which is suitable for light workloads or for towing vacation gear and equipment for weekend getaways.
